Our courtyard ‘garden.design.shop’ will be located in the heart of Eye, a lovely market town in the beautiful Waveney Valley in Suffolk.

It is located off Buckshorn Lane car park (with free parking!), behind the florist at 6 Church Street, Eye IP23 7BD.

Permission granted!

January 2026

We have recently been granted planning permission, and are working extremely hard to be able to open the shop for Spring 2026!

Given the tight timeline, we expect to be able to open just the outside space (without the main building in place), hopefully in early May, allowing us to provide a beautiful selection of plants, pots and growing media (top soil, composts, mulch) for sale, ready for Spring planting, hopefully in lovely sunshine - but you never know with the UK weather!

We will then continue to build and fit out the shop and coffee shop, and finishing all of the site design, to be a fully functioning site a bit later in the year.

First steps...

5 March 2026

While we have been busy doing a LOT of painting (mainly fence panels!), the building work will start in earnest next week.

After enclosing the site with the fencing, we will be doing the groundworks, landscaping, and putting the water tanks and solar panels in first.

We used our garden design skills to design the site very carefully (in order to make the most of the limited space).

While we might be a tiny garden centre in the making, we have big ambitions to fill every inch with many beautiful herbaceous perennials, shrubs, trees, annuals, pots, compost, and other garden stuff!

Based in Eye, Suffolk, we're in easy reach of Norwich, Ipswich, Diss, Harleston, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Thetford.
